Περιγραφή
The School of Communication, Media and Theatre (CMT) of the University of Tampere invites applications to three doctoral students fixed-term positions as follows:
- Position 1: Two fixed-term doctoral student´s position of one to four years starting August 1st 2016 onwards
- Position 2: One fixed-term doctoral students´positions for six months starting at latest July 1st 2016. The starting point of the doctoral position can be agreed on separately. The positions are intended for beginnin doctoral students as well as candates finishing their doctoral studies.
You can apply both for position number one (1) and position number two (2).
Successful candidates pursue a doctoral degree in the doctoral programme of the School of Communication, Media and Theatre at the University of Tampere. The expected duration of full-time studies is four years. The contract´s length depends on how far along in their studies the successful candidates are and when they expect to graduate. The person who is going to apply for salaried doctoral student´s position must have an acquired right to pursue doctoral studies. The students who are going to apply for doctoral studies (right to begin to pursue doctoral studies/doctoral researcher) can also apply for fixed-time doctoral student´s position.
The personal study and supervision plans of postgraduate students define the terms of their dissertation work and are used to monitor their progress annually. The personal study and supervision plan includes a detailed annual working schedule. In addition to writing their dissertations, doctoral students teach or do other work connected to their studies at the school. There duties may not exceed five per cent of their total working hours.
