Desired Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Materials Sciences or Inorganic Chemistry;
- experiences with adequate experimental techniques;
- previous publication activity in proposed or related areas
Length of stay: 12 months from April 1st, 2014 (possible to extend up to 15 months)

Area: Materials chemistry and physics
Research of new structures and phenomena in materials based on amorphous chalcogenides, surface modification of amorphous substrates or metal surface with analogy of Si surface modifications, photo-assisted route to direct functionalization of chalcogenide glasses, thin/thick films. Fabrication of amorphous chalcogenide thin films by physical methods, specifically by pulsed laser deposition.
Requirements
Common requirements to be completed by all postdocs:
1. orderly completed doctoral studies in the period from 28 March 2008 to the date of the publication of competition for vacancy at a university in the Czech Republic or achieved a comparable degree at a foreign university;
2. demonstrate a good command of the Czech or English language (proof of an exam within his/her studies or submits a certificate, alternatively an authorized statement from the institution that awarded the doctoral degree).
The candidate produces:
- professional resume (CV) in chronological order;
- list of publications in chronological order;
- list and a short (one or two-sentence) annotation of research projects (international, multinational), s/he supervised or participated;
- list of study stays/internships (specifying the year and length of study, host institution and country, indicating the study stay supervisor and experimental work title)
- letter of reference from the previous supervisor or head workplace / research and development team in a full-text document (i.e. not a reference or contact)
