Περιγραφή

The faculty of Media, Information and Design is looking to fill the position of a full-time research assistant in the field of language and knowledge processing.

Duties include:

  • Participation in the implementation of a research project on machine learning methods for distributional semantics in cooperation with the Information Systems and Machine Learning Lab at the University of Hildesheim.
  • Participation in ongoing research on lexical semantics and controlled vocabularies.
  • Teaching in the Bachelor 's and Master's degree programs in information science (4 hours)

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a recent master’s degree computational linguistics, computer science or related disciplines. In particular, any experience on machine learning, (distributional) semantics or text statistics will be an asset. Applicants are expected to have strong programming skills, the ability to work independently, and good German language skills.

The position is available to be filled immediately and offers tenures of three years. The salary amounts to TV-L E13 (roughly 40.000 EUR). The project offers the possibility to obtain a PhD-Degree from the University of Hildesheim.
