Περιγραφή
A number of post-doc positions are available in the lab of Israel Nelken for the ERC-funded project RATLAND. The project will develop novel tools for studying auditory information processing in awake, behaving rats during naturalistic behavior. Methods include electrophysiology, optogenetics, optical imaging, and sophisticated behavioral approaches, integrating state-of-the-art data collection techniques, data analysis, and theoretical approaches. Current work in the Nelken lab.
The Nelken lab is part of the Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences (ELSC) at Hebrew University, a new brain research center that capitalizes on the tight integration between theory and experiment that characterizes neuroscience research at Hebrew University for the last 20 years.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biology, physics, computer science, or psychology. Experience with in-vivo recording is an advantage but is not required. Experience with programming in Matlab is an advantage.
Starting date is immediate (as of January 2014), and the position is ensured for the duration of the grant (5 years), pending good progress in the project.
