Περιγραφή
Applications are invited for fully funded PhD student fellowships at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI). The FMI is an international research institute affiliated with the University of Basel and the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research. We explore basic mechanisms of cells and organisms.
Currently about 100 graduate students from over 25 countries are receiving theoretical and practical training, and conduct research projects under the supervision of an FMI group leader. FMI students learn advanced techniques and are introduced into experimental analysis at multiple levels of biological organization.
The FMI provides financial support to its students in accordance with the scale of the Swiss National Science Foundation. A course of study at the FMI leading to a PhD degree of the University of Basel typically lasts 4 years. Situated in Basel, the FMI offers an outstanding scientific environment in the center of Europe.
