The Department of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience of the Central Institute of Mental Health, Mannheim, offers a pre-doctoral researcher position (E13/TV-L, 50%) to under-take research on forms of deficient regulation of auditory sensitivity in chronic tinnitus. The project is funded by the “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft” and is carried out in cooperation with the Section of Biomagnetism and the Section of Experimental Neuroradiology of the University Clinic Heidelberg. The position includes the opportunity to work towards a PhD and will be running for two years, starting as soon as possible, with the option of a one year extension.
The project combines psychoacoustic measurements, measurement of auditory evoked magnetic fields using magnetoencephalography (MEG), and and magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (MR DTI).
You hold a degree in psychology, neuroscience, biology, or physics and have a keen interest in basic clinical-neuroscientific research.
