1 MSc. Student position on Evolution of Herbicide Resistance in Canada | Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

We are currently seeking a MSc. student to study the evolution of herbicide resistance in Kochia scoparia. This work will focus on using molecular techniques to understand the spread of herbicide resistance and fitness consequences of these herbicide resistance genes.

The skills you will need to succeed in this position are enthusiasm for research, independence, self-motivation, and strong English communication skills. Experience with molecular work is necessary. Experience conducting research, forced crosses, and rearing plants in the greenhouse would be assets.

This position is for a Sept 2014 start date and is with the Martin Lab at the Eastern Cereal and Oilseed Research Centre and Carleton University in Ottawa.
