Περιγραφή
The scholarship receiver will work on text mining and information extraction problems, related to the processing of textual contents from newswire documents and other media sources. In particular, the receiver will address the specific task of making predictions from textual documents through the usage of machine learning methods from the current state-of-the-art. The student will experiment with the application of different learning algorithms, different feature selection strategies for representing the textual documents, and different prediction problems to be addressed with texts written in the Portuguese and English languages.
