Περιγραφή

iGRAD-Plant Graduate Program – The dynamic response of plants to a changing environment (GRK1525 – German Research Foundation) is a joint effort of Heinrich Heine University, Research Center Jülich and the Graduate Program in Genetics at Michigan State University (USA). Researchers of these institutions are pursuing innovative strategies to address fundamental problems in plant biology.

The iGRAD-Plant Graduate Program offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary PhD training program in the fields of molecular plant sciences, plant genetics and quantitative biology. Future Ph.D. students will join courses in transferable and scientific skills, regular seminars and retreats and practical courses in state-of-the-art laboratory methods. The training program is jointly organized by all three partner institutions.

We are looking for talented, highly motivated applicants holding a bachelor or master degree in biology or biochemistry and a strong background in molecular plant sciences, biochemistry, quantitative biology or a related discipline. Applicants holding an excellent bachelor degree in biology or biochemistry are particularly encouraged to apply (Fast-Track).

The exact salary will depend on the personal qualification of the applicant up to 50 % EG 13 TV-L. Heinrich Heine University is an equal opportunity employer. Applications from women are expressly welcome. Women with comparable qualifications will receive particular consideration, unless another applicant displays compelling reasons to prefer this person. Applications from suitably qualified severely disabled persons or disabled persons regarded as being of equal status according to Book IX of the German Social Legal Code (SGB – Soziales Gesetzbuch) are encouraged. Disabled persons with equal qualifications will be given priority.
