PostDoc for Isolation

You are responsible for drug isolation of bioactive secondary metabolites in the context of natural product screening -downstream processing: from the fermentation up to the isolated active ingredient-. In addition to the development of downstream processing, in close consultation with the screening and analysis group, you are also responsible for controlling, implementation and documentation.

Requirements

We are looking for above average and highly motivated candidates who have completed their PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent professional experience in natural products chemistry, chromatography of secondary metabolites or downstream processing.

You have:

• In-depth experience in cleaning of "small molecules" and natural products, as well as in separation techniques and chromatography of natural products
• Demonstrable experience in the isolation of natural products
• Experience in Natural Product Research
• Knowledge of chemistry, biotechnology and drug development
• High level of planning and organizational skills, and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills in English, German is a plus
• Postdoctoral experience in the described area is desirable
