Περιγραφή
The Irish Research Council has awarded a grant to TCD to assess the Impact of Publically-Funded Research, Development and Innovation (RDI). This will involve assessment of the macroeconomic impact of higher education, the innovation capacity and competences of the higher education system and its components, and the extent to which higher education system interacts with other stakeholders towards delivering high impact research and innovation.
3-year postdoctoral position undertaking economic impact analysis on and within the higher education system in Ireland.
Post Status: 3-year contract
Reports to: Professor Brian Lucey
Salary: €31,275 per annum
Standard duties of the Post
- Carry out economic impact analysis of higher education
- Evaluate innovation practices within and capacity of higher education institutions to undertake innovation
- Evaluate and propose changes to key performance indicators around innovation and impact

Qualifications:
- PhD in Economics or Policy Analysis
Knowledge & Experience
- Essential: comfort with Input/Output and macroeconomic impact analysis studies, familiarity with economics of knowledge, familiarity with modern bibiliometric and altmetric measures, knowledge of organizational and managerial economics of innovative bodies, knowledge of higher education systems
- Desirable: Knowledge of the Irish higher education system
