Περιγραφή
The Department of Economics is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow focused on financial sector development in East Africa on a Specific Purpose Contract (Approximately 16 to 24 months). The successful candidate will work on a Financial Sector Deepening (FSD) Kenya funded project to examine various microeconomic aspects of financial inclusion in Kenya and East Africa.
The post holder will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to deliver a number of exciting research projects, using individual, household, geo-spatial and bank level data, that help to develop better understanding of the broadening and deepening of financial systems in Kenya and East Africa. Projects may include microeconomic investigation into the constraints to financial access using the FinScope Surveys, analysis of a new geo-spatial financial inclusion dataset, poverty analysis using the Kenyan Integrated Household Budget Survey (KIHBS), impact studies using randomized control trials and interrogation of bank-level datasets.
