Applications are invited for either two PhD positions or one post-doc position in economic geography (Wirtschaftsgeographie), fixed-term two years (with an option to extend another year) for the PhD and three years for the post-doc position commencing May 1st 2014. Candidates will have the opportunity to pursue a PhD or post-doctoral (Habilitation) degree.
- You have received a master or PhD degree either in economic/human geography or in a related discipline, with a specialisation in economic geography.
- You are interested in at least one of the following research fields: evolutionary economic geography, relational economic geography, cluster evolution, regional innovation systems or global production networks.
- You are internationally oriented and you like to present your ideas and research results at workshops and conferences.
- You are expected to design and carry out your own research project in one of the above-mentioned or related research field, as well as to contribute to our teaching programme (4 hours/week as post-doc and 2 hours/week as PhD student).
The salary is based on the German federal public service scale (TV-L E 13). Women are especially encouraged to apply. Severely handicapped people will be referentially considered in case of equivalent qualifications.
