Overall purpose of the job:
The position relates to a Food Institutional Research Measure-funded project studying bioactive components from macroalgae. The Post Doctoral Researcher will be involved in the identification and characterization of macroalgal nitrogenous compounds (proteins and non-protein nitrogen fractions) with a view to optimizing their bioactivity potential.
The Post Doctoral Researcher will carry out laboratory research on the above objectives and will contribute to the day-to-day management of the project. Collaborative interactions will involve academic partners.

Salary: €37,750 - €46,255 p.a. (maximum starting salary €37,750 p.a.)
