Περιγραφή
Uppsala University is an international research university focused on the development of science and education. The department conducts research and provides education at undergraduate to graduate level in mathematics, applied mathematics and mathematical statistics. The number of employees is 100, of which approximately 30 are doctoral students.
Duties:
The duties of a PhD student are primarily directed at his/her own research education, which lasts four years. The work may also involve, to a limited extent (maximum 20%) other departmental duties, mainly related to teaching undergraduate courses – in which case the position may be extended to maximum five years. The research conducted will primarily belong to ergodic theory, spectral theory, graph theory or number theory.
Required qualifications:
In order to be employed as doctoral student, the candidate needs to be admitted to the PhD program, and for this, his/her potential ability to pursue the program is decisive. The applicant should have a master´s degree in mathematics or equivalent. The candidate should have a good command of spoken and written English.

Salary according to local guidelines.
