Περιγραφή
The Public Economics group is associated with the KOF Swiss Economic Institute. Its members work in close collaboration with the Center for Economic Research and the Cen-ter for Energy Policy and Economics at ETH Zurich. The group`s main focus is on theoretical and empirical research in the area of public economics such as cor-porate taxation, social security, fiscal federalism and behavioral public economics, for instance. The research strategy involves normative as well as political economy analyses.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Economics (or should be near completion of the dissertation) and should have shown interest in the topics of the group. The preferred candidate has demonstrated her or his poten-tial to conduct high-quality research, ideally by having some papers under revision or even accepted for pub-lication in refereed international journals. The successful applicant is expected to independently conduct ac-ademic and policy-relevant research and also to contribute to ongoing research projects of the group. Excel-lent command of English is required. ETH Zurich offers internationally competitive working conditions. Living conditions in Zurich are excellent (Zurich is consistently ranked as one of the world`s premier cities in terms of living standards). The starting date is flexible.
