Περιγραφή
Nanoscience has the potential to revolutionise and benefit many aspects of human society, especially in the fields of information technology and medicine. As one of the world’s leading centres of knowledge for bionanointeractions – applied to the fields of nanosafety, nanobiology and nanomedicine – the Centre for BioNano Interactions (CBNI) is pioneering many of the new techniques and approaches in this area.
CBNI is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to mathematically analyse the interaction between nanoparticles and cells in detail. The work will be carried out in close collaboration with experimental efforts within the group (or, potentially, based upon experimental data acquired by the researcher). The project involves extensive image analysis to extract the full spatio-temporal evolution of the nanoparticles and subsequent calculation of statistical observables.
Salary: €33,975 - €34,974 per annum
Appointment on the above salary range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Closing date: 9th September 2013
Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified. Any applications which are still in progress at the closing time of 11:30pm GMT on the specified closing date will be cancelled automatically by the system. UCD are unable to accept late applications.
