Περιγραφή
The University of Konstanz, with its “Institutional Strategy to promote Top-Level Research”, has been receiving continuous funding since 2007 within the framework of the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and State Governments.
The newly funded SFB/Transregio 161 “Quantitative Methods for Visual Computing” focusses on computational methods for image-based representation of information with the goal to provide measures for the quality and applicability of visual data and related algorithms of visual computing.
Tasks:
Research on Uncertainty Visualization and Quantification. The project is jointly supervised by Prof. Dr. Oliver Deussen and Prof. Dr. Daniel Weiskopf (University of Stuttgart).
Requirements
- Master or PhD in Computer Science or related subject
- Strong background in Computer Graphics and/or Information Visualization
Suitable applicants have an above-average master degree or promotion as well as in depth knowledge of information visualization or computer graphics. Motivation for active participation in research as well as interdisciplinary teamwork is an important prerequisite.
