1 PhD Scholarship in Advanced CFD computation of breaking wave loads on offshore wind turbine substructures in Denmark | Technical University of Denmark (DTU)

In the assessment of the candidates, consideration will be given to:

• Background in computational fluid mechanics and numerical methods in fluids
• Strong programming skills such as Fortran, Matlab, C
• Experience with CFD methods, particularly OpenFOAM and free surface flows
• A background in Offshore Engineering and wave hydrodynamics
• Sound physical insight and the ability to critically judge a set of results or measurements
• Collaborative skills
• The ability to communicate at all levels such as the provision of scientific advice to public sector authorities

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a master's degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master's degree in engineering.

Approval and Enrolment
