Περιγραφή
The Institute of Electronic Structure and LASER (IESL) of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), in the frame of the project “Design, production and Laser PHOTO structuring of self-assembling PEPtides and proteins destined for bioMATerials applications (“PHOTOPEPMAT”). » which is a “ARISTEIA II” is seeking for one (1) Post-doctoral Researcher.
The purpose of the project is the design, cloning, expression, purification and structural characterization of recombinant self-assembling bioinspired proteins to be used as scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology and/or genetics
- Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field (Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biomaterials Science and Engineering)
- Experience in cloning, expression, purification of proteins plus familiarity in using experimental techniques for their structural and folding characterization, such as fluorescence, circular dichroism, etc
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge of English language (competency in speaking and writing)
- Scientific Publications and presentations in conferences
Location: Vasilika Vouton – Heraklion Crete
Remuneration: according to national guidelines and past experience
Start Date: March 1, 2014
Project Duration: 12 Months, with the option for extension until the end of the project (31 July 2015)
