1 Phd position at the Institute of Electronic Structure and LASER (IESL) in Greece | Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH)

The Institute of Electronic Structure and LASER (IESL) of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas (FORTH), in the frame of the project «APOLLO» implemented under the "ARISTEIA" Action co-funded by the (ESF) and National Resources, is seeking for one (1) PhD student

The purpose of the project is the development of novel class of polariton based devices including polaritonic circuits and laser diodes. Working in a state of the art semiconductor research facility which includes III-V growth, device fabrication and characterization.

Requirements · Bachelor in Natural Sciences (Physics) · Master Degree in a relevant field (Physics, Materials Science, Engineering) · Experience in using experimental techniques of optical & electrical spectroscopy · Optoelectronic device characterization experience

Qualifications: · Excellent knowledge of English language (competency in speaking and writing) · Scientific Publications

Location: Vasilika Vouton – Heraklion Crete

Start Date: 1 March 2014

Contract Duration: 6 Months, with the option for extension
