2 Phd Positions from IQUADRAT Informatica in Greece | Technical University of Catalonia (UPC)

IQUADRAT Informatica, Barcelona, Spain offers 2 Phd Positions:

• One pre-doctorate in the area of Smart Grid Applications for demand response methods and optimization algorithms. The selected candidate will be working in the implementation of analytical methods and the development of system level simulators for the optimization of smart grid applications, within the scope of a European project.
• One 3-year research fellowship contract for PhD studies in the area of Next Generation Fiber-Wireless (FiWi) Networks (FiWI_1). The selected candidate will be working in the development of analytical methods and algorithms for the performance analysis of FiWi networks and the implementation of system level simulators, within the scope of a European project.

Applicants must hold an MSc degree in electrical engineering or related fields. Fluency in English is appreciated.

The candidates may work remotely from Greece under the supervision of experience IQUADRAT´s senior researchers from Spain and from Greece, and may embark on the PhD program of the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in Spain.
