Postdoctoral positions in Computer Networks at the FORTH Institute of Computer Science | Foundation of Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH)

The Institute of Computer Science (ICS) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) is looking to fill post-doc positions in the area of computer networks. In particular, we are looking for highly motivated people with background in one or more of the following areas:

• Software-defined networks (SDN)
• Internet routing (BGP, etc.)
• Internet measurements
• Network monitoring systems
• Network economics

The positions are supported by the new European Research Council (ERC) project NetVolution, which seeks to improve the security and reliability of the Internet routing system based on SDN principles (and in particular SDN logical centralization at the inter-domain level). NetVolution provides funding for five years to conduct research on Internet routing, software-defined networks, security, and Internet measurements. We collaborate closely with several institutes and in particular with the groups of Prof. Bernhard Plattner in ETH Zurich and Dr. Kc Claffy in the University of California San Diego (CAIDA).
