Περιγραφή
The purpose of the fellowship is to enable a Post-doctoral Researcher to propose and carry out a project of relevance to the Hellenic Observatory (part of the European Institute). It has been made possible by the generosity of the National Bank of Greece.
You will have a completed PhD in social sciences, and a comprehensive and substantial knowledge of contemporary Greece and have evidence of publication and/or project delivery through independent original research. You will have the ability to create a high quality research proposal and possess the ability to develop a coherent programme of research. You must have the ability to analyse and research complex ideas, concepts or theories, and experience of establishing context for research projects and establishing models. You will have evidence of experience of participation in academic/ policy events, conferences on Greece, as well as excellent communication skills.
The other criteria that will be used when shortlisting for this post can be found on the person specification, which is attached to this vacancy on the LSE’s online recruitment system. Candidates are invited to submit their extended Research Proposals which fall within the Hellenic Observatory’s interest covering Political, Economic and/or Social Developments.
This is a fixed term post for 12 months starting in October 2016 or as soon as possible after this date. In exceptional circumstances, two appointments may be made to share the 12 month fellowship.
