2 Postdoctoral Research Associates in Aerospace Engineering in UK | University of Bath

Applications are sought for two Post-Doctoral Research Associates to join a very active research group in topology optimisation. The research will develop numerical methods in coupled multiphysics and multiscale topology optimisation in aircraft. This project requires working with a wide network of international collaborators and is funded by Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have a PhD in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with previous research experience in topology optimisation, finite element methods and computational mechanics method. Programming skills in C/C++ and experience in numerical optimisation methods are essential. The responsibilities will include a level of managerial and administrative activities for the research group in support of the PI and leading the software development of topology optimisation in addition to the usual research. The successful applicants will have self-motivation and enthusiasm for the research areas and collaborations within the research group as well as industrial and international academic partners. They will be expected to work with other researcher’s in the group as well as take a supervisory role for research students.
