1 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Experimental Nuclear Physics and Nuclear Astrophysics in Norway | The University of Oslo (UiO)

The fellowships are part of the European Research Council Starting Grant project "Resonant Nuclear Gamma Decay and the Heavy-Element Nucleosynthesis" (gRESONANT), which started March 1, 2015. The overall aim of the ERC project is to understand the nature of nuclear gamma resonances and their effect of unknown neutron-capture rates of s-process branch points and exotic, neutron-rich nuclei relevant for the r-process. This will be pursued through experimental efforts (stable-beam and radioactive-beam facilities) as well as through theoretical approaches. The ERC project involves a broad international collaboration with project partners from 11 research institutions and universities in Belgium, France, Finland, Germany, USA, South Africa, and Japan.
