Περιγραφή

Three to four positions as post-doctoral fellow are vacant at the Department of Teacher Education and School Research related to one of the following fields of research: School leadership, science/mathematics/language education, or research on teacher education.

The department is the host institution for four research groups at the Faculty of Educational Sciences:

  • Curriculum Studies, Leadership and Educational Governance (CLEG)
  • Large-scale Educational Assessment(LEA)
  • Studies of Instruction across Subjects and Competences (SISCO)
  • Teacher Professionalism and Educational Change: Practices, Purposes, Policies (TEPEC)

Applicants are expected to prepare a project proposal that can be positioned within the project portfolio of one of the research groups. A budget and progress plan for the project should be included in the application. Prior to sending their application, interested applicants are advised to contact the leader(s) of the research group(s).

The main objective of appointments to the positions of post-doctoral fellow is to qualify researchers for work in top academic positions within their respective area of study.

We are seeking highly motivated and competent candidates who are willing and able to participate actively in the research community at the department and in one of the above listed research groups. Also, a successful candidate will be expected to complete the project and publish articles in recognized international journals.

The appointment applies for a three-year period. The employer can require the employee to carry out competence-giving compulsory work, up to 10% of the position, in the form of teaching or corresponding tasks. The guidelines concerning appointment to post-doctoral and research fellowship positions at the University of Oslo can be viewed here.

The appointment requires a PhD or a degree equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in a relevant field. A prerequisite for applicants who have not yet defended their thesis is that the PhD work is submitted for assessment before the closing date for applications. Appointment to the post-doctoral position is dependent on the public defence of the doctoral thesis being approved.
