Postdoctoral positions at the Centre for mathematical Plasma Astrophysics in Belgium | KU Leuven

There are some postdoc vacancies at the Centre for mathematical Plasma Astrophysics (CmPA) in the Mathematics Department of KU Leuven, Belgium.

The research at CmPA focusses on analytical/numerical studies of solar, stellar and astrophysical plasmas, with expertise spanning from solar coronal dynamics, over space weather and magnetospheric physics, to fusion related plasma research. The positions are funded by a project on “Extreme energy transformations and transfers in astrophysical and laboratory plasmas”, jointly formulated by the staff members of the CmPA.

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will receive a scholarship for one year, which can be extended for another year after successful evaluation to a total of two years. The positions start October 1, 2015 (or soon thereafter).
