Περιγραφή

The postdoc will be working on the profiling of transcripts and peptides expressed in animal venoms, using systems biology approaches. The project is funded by the Dutch Top Sector (NWO TKI-NCI) project Syngenopep. Our consortium will identify novel antibacterial peptides in the venoms of snakes, scorpions and spiders using a combination of genomic prediction, transcriptomics and proteomics.

Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field and proven ability of producing scientific output;
  • Expertise in the proteomics of small peptides and RNA sequencing;
  • Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry-based peptide sequencing;
  • Experience in sequence data analysis;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of English;

Conditions of employment

We offer a 1.0 fte, 2 year term position, with the possibility of renewal (depending on funds).

Salary range from € 2.476,- to € 3.908,- (pay scale 10) gross per month, based on a full time employment in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities.
