Περιγραφή
Eindhoven University of Technology has a vacancy for 2 PhD positions Bayesian Machine Learning for Audio Processing in the Signal Processing group (SPS), department of Electrical Engineering.
The Department Electrical Engineering (EE) is one of the nine departments of the Eindhoven University of Technology and provides BSc and MSc programs in Electrical Engineering. The department has nine research groups and has research collaborations with other departments at TU/e as well as with a large number of other universities and companies, both within the Netherlands and internationally. The department has approximately 375 employees and 600 students.
Project description
This research program is aimed at developing modern machine learning methods that lead to improved performance of audio processing algorithms (e.g., for hearing aids). In particular, our approach is to study computational models of learning and adaptation in brains and apply these ideas to the design of personalization of audio processing applications. Key areas of interest include Bayesian machine learning, probabilistic graphical models (factor graphs), computational neurosciences and signal processing.
Requirements
Candidates for the PhD position should have:
- a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, computer science, Math or Physics with excellent grades .
- a record that shows specific interest in any or more of the following fields: signal processing, machine learning, computational neurosciences
- experience in scientific programming,
- good written and spoken command of English language;
- a positive attitude, willingness to work hard and know how to have fun at it.
Conditions of employment
We offer a challenging job at a dynamic and ambitious university through a fixed-term appointment for the period of 4 years.
