Course Objectives: Develop practical business skills and gain a better understanding of the environment in which businesses operate; Provide a shorter realistic time frame for those desiring to improve their skills and knowledge in general business studies; Provide the learners with a critical understanding of the business environment on a national and international scale; Prepare students to apply the decision role and responsibilities of operations in relation to marketing, finance, sales, accounting, management, economics, ethics, information systems, and business policies; Demonstrate an understanding of the nature and structure of organizations and the role of financial data in their decision - making process; Provide a student centred learning environment through the use of a variety of techniques such as case studies and group work and individual assignments.
