BSc Electrical Engineering (Frederick) (ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ)

The program has been designed to provide a broad based education in electrical and electronic engineering together with the relevant mathematics and other support subjects. Students may select one of the following fields of concentration after their third year of studies: Power Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Systems Engineering. Students develop the ability to relate the taught material in a lively, active manner for application in the engineering environment. Students are directed towards the scientific concepts and engineering laws needed to interpret and evaluate engineering problems. Laboratory experience and extensive design projects reinforce the understanding of theory. Training is provided in the theory and laboratory application of logic and electrical circuits, electromagnetic fields, transmission and modulation theory, radar and antenna systems, linear systems,electrical machines and transformers, three phase distribution systems, robotic systems, control systems, electronics and microprocessors. Students review the design concepts in the engineering field, to acquire the necessary knowledge to carry out consultation processes, and to develop the ability to cope with the future technological improvements.
