BA Journalism (Frederick) (ΛΕΥΚΩΣΙΑ)

The goal of the program is the provision of high quality academic education on the BA level, and the promotion, development, encouragement of research in the areas of Journalism and of Mass Communication Media. The aim is to introduce and familiarize the students to Journalism and the functioning of the Mass Media in the context of an academic program based on the liberal arts - this includes the utilization of opportunities for developing skills, the processes of researching, interpretation, and transmission of information, and the awareness of the necessity of communication and information sharing/dissemination. Special attention is given to the utilization of scientific thought and of the analysis/understanding of social reality while practicing the journalistic profession in the print and electronic media.
