New insights emerge at the point where disciplines come together and, in order to understand how things work, it is important to study them from all angles. This is the approach we have chosen in teaching Sciences. As a Master’s student you will find yourself at the interface of biology, chemistry and physics as you work to discover the secrets behind man, molecule and materials.

Depending on your background, you can choose a specialisation related to one of these disciplines:

As an MLS student you choose for one of the following tracks:

Admission requirements

• (The equivalent of) a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or related area. Bachelors in related subjects (Chemistry, Physics) from foreign universities will be checked for their level of knowledge in the three core disciplines before they can be admitted. They will usually have to follow some additional courses (max. 30 EC) to relieve deficiencies. Students with a Bachelor's in Biology or Molecular Life Sciences cannot enrol in the Master's programme in Science. Their deficiencies exceed 30 ec. They may however be able to follow a shortened bachelor education track.
