Molecular Life Sciences | Radboud University

In Nijmegen we offer a multidisciplinary Master’s programme in Molecular Life Sciences. Working at the interface of chemistry, biology and medical science, you will not only explore the basic principles of molecules and cells, but also their role in health and disease. This combination of scientific topics translated into medical implications and solutions is unique in the Netherlands.

The programme is closely connected with two institutes that have an excellent international reputation: the Institute of Molecules and Materials and the Nijmegen Centre for Molecular Life Sciences Thanks to cooperation with the neighbouring University Medical Centre, there is continuous exchange between Lab and Clinic.

You can choose from the following specialisations:

• Chemistry for Life
• Clinical Biology
• Medical Epigenomics
• Neuroscience
• Science in Society
• Science, Management and Innovation

Furthermore, you will join a related research group, for example Anthropogenetics, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, Neurobiology or Bioinformatics. Two internships are central to the programme. You will have your personal tutor who will help you decide which subjects and research to follow. You can also choose to follow an internship abroad or within a company.

Admission requirements

• (The equivalent of) a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences or related area
• TOEFL is 575 (paper based)/232 (computer based)/90 (internet based), IELTS: 6.5
• A background in research methodology.
