Students in the International Business Communication Master’s programmes in Nijmegen will learn to apply advanced analytical research techniques to analyse communication in organisational contexts and will gain insights into the latest (theoretical) developments in multiple disciplines relevant to the practice of international business communication. Additionally, they will develop key competencies which will aid them in making informed decisions relating to communication management challenges and communication design in an international context.

The Master’s in International Business Communication is proud to be one of very few programmes in Europe (and the only programme in the Netherlands) that focuses on the cultural and linguistic aspects of international business communication from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The influence of culture and language(s) on the corporate communications of international organisations plays a central role throughout the programme.

With strong international appeal, this programme attracts students from various countries across. The programme, however, very selective (maximum 50 students per year), meaning those admitted enjoy a small, but international, study environment.

Admission requirements

• (The equivalent of) a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Information Studies or in a related area
• A proficiency in English: TOEFL score of 580 (paper based) or 237 (computer based) or 92 (internet based), IELTS score of 7.0 and 6,5 (writing), Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) with a mark of at least B, or Proficiency in English (CPE), with a mark of at least C.
